County warns of COVID exposure at Henrietta restaurant

Henrietta, N.Y.  – The Monroe County Department of Public Health says it was notified of a positive COVID-19 exposure that is believed to be connected to the Tokyo Japanese Restaurant.

The exposure happened at the restaurant at 1000 Hylan Drive between 8 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1.

There was an unknown number of occupants at the establishment during that time.

It is recommended that anyone who was at the restaurant at any time on Aug. 1 and is experiencing any of the common symptoms of COVID-19 be tested and self-quarantine for 14 days from onset of symptoms and contact their doctor.

Additionally, anyone who was at Tokyo Japanese Restaurant but is not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should contact the Monroe County Department of Public Health at (585) 753-5555 to discuss their risk and coordinate testing if it is determined to be appropriate.

Anyone who visited the restaurant on Aug. 1 could still develop symptoms over the next eight days if they have not developed symptoms already, according to the department.
