After a shooting incident on Norton Street, a man is hospitalized with life threatening injury
Rochester, New York — Friday a shooting sent one man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to officers, they were called to the intersection of Norton Street and North Clinton Avenue shortly before 7:00 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, they found a 51-year-old man who had been shot at least once.
The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to police, an officer driving a patrol car to the scene was hit by a civilian vehicle.
The officer was not injured, and that civilian vehicle fled the scene of the crash.
Norton Street was closed between North Clinton Avenue and Hollenbeck Street for the investigation. Police asks anyone with information to call 911.
